India–France Relations: A New Global Strategic Partnership

1. Background

India has strategic partnerships with more than 30 countries. However, despite political changes, international pressures, and wars, the relationship that has remained consistently stable is only with France.

Therefore, the India–France relationship is considered a unique and reliable strategic partnership.
