Bharat Industrial Development Scheme (₹33,660 crore)
Introduction
India’s economic growth and sustainable development depend on key pillars such as industrial development, green energy, agricultural support, and infrastructure development. To achieve this, the Central Government has introduced various schemes.
1. Bharat Industrial Development Scheme (₹33,660 crore)
The Union Cabinet has approved the establishment of 100 industrial parks.
This is part of the Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat initiatives.
✔ 100–1000 acres of land
✔ Plug and Play Model – Immediate business setup
Infrastructure:
Roads, water supply, sewage treatment
IT facilities, warehouses, laboratories
Housing for workers
Economic Impact:
✔ 15 lakh employment opportunities
✔ Support for MSMEs and Startups
✔ GDP growth
✔ PPP Model (Central + State + Private)
2. Small Hydropower Development Scheme (₹2,585 crore)
This scheme has been introduced to promote renewable energy.
✔ Increase of 1500 MW renewable energy capacity
✔ Small projects ranging from 1–25 MW
✔ No large dams → Minimal environmental impact
✔ No displacement of people
Financial Assistance:
North-East → ₹3.6 crore/MW
Other states → ₹2.4 crore/MW
✔ SDG Goal 7 – Clean Energy
3. Cotton Procurement – ₹1,718 crore to CCI
Funds have been allocated to protect farmers’ income.
Through CCI (1970), procurement is done based on MSP (Minimum Support Price).

✔ Growth of the Textile Sector
4. National Highway 927 – 4-Lane Expansion (₹6,969 crore)
4-lane expansion is being carried out between Barabanki and Bahraich.

✔ Linked with Bharatmala Project
