1. Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI)
- Established: April 1963.
- Nature: It is a non-statutory body.
- Authority: Derives its powers from the Delhi Special Police Establishment Act, 1946 (DSPE Act).
- Function: It is the premier investigative and probing agency of the Central Government.
